The Dead and Destitute: Living History Weekend at The Workhouse

Join us The Workhouse and Infirmary on Sat 17 and Sun 18 June (10.30am – 3pm) for an interactive historical re-enactment by living history group Foreign Field.

Discover the history of bodysnatching and the role workhouses played in the process. Learn about pauper funerals and how changes to the anatomy act affected the trade.

Each body-snatching session will last approximately half an hour. Normal admission charges apply.
