We’re all about the good bugs this year! The good bugs are helping us to save our planet!
Southwell Town Council invites you to the Lantern Walk on Saturday 4th December at 5pm starting in the grounds of Southwell Minster. Bring your friends and family, and your lanterns! Join us on a circular walk on paved footpaths around the park. Along the way enjoy the Christmas lights. The theme this year is ‘Christmas Critters’ so look out for lanterns in the shape of ladybirds, spiders, glow worms, butterflies, worms, caterpillars, grasshoppers, bees or dragonflies and many more! There are several lantern workshops or enjoy making your own creation at home!
Due to the uncertainty of Covid-19, there won’t be an inside event at the Minster School after the lantern walk this year. But do come along and enjoy the circular walk, the lanterns and the Christmas lights. Bring a lantern and a torch, wear suitable footwear and wrap up warm! It’s a great way to start the festive season and celebrate the community in which we live.Make a Willow Lantern at The Old Courthouse on The Burgage Southwell on Saturday 20th November 10am – 12.30pm or 1pm to 3.30pm £5 charge for materials.
