Spirits of the Forest

If you go down to Sherwood on Saturday 15th January, you’ll be sure of a big…shock.
Keep your eyes peeled and ears alert for the Krampus, the terrifying horned spirits which stalk the land in winter-time.
The Krampus are known to visit naughty children at Christmas in the Alpine lands of central Europe, but, with their Yuletide duties out of the way, word has it that they are headed for Sherwood Forest.
Dare you venture amongst the ancient oaks? Listen out for every rustle of the undergrowth and each snap of a twig, for it could be the creatures themselves…
