Family Saturday

Join the National Civil War Centre – Newark Museum for Family Saturday as they fill the museum with fun for all ages! There’ll be fascinating family-friendly tours and spellbinding storytime for under 10s every hour as well as the chance to get creative with a drop-in art activity to enjoy together in the Tudor Hall. You’ll also be able to explore everything the museum has to offer, from the fantastic dressing-up area to amazing interactives and terrific trivia to wow friends and family with.
Plus, from 3pm to 5pm, their Quiet Hour session is back, helping children and young people with autism or additional requirements to enjoy the museum. Sound effects are turned off, lights are turned up a little, a quiet space is available and there are things to touch and do.
For June, the museum is celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with crafts to make your very own crown which you can show off at street parties!
