Robin Hood Festival 2022: Meet the Outlaws

August 26, 2022 - August 29, 2022

IT’S BACK!

The much-loved Robin Hood Festival is taking place this summer at Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve over seven weekends from 16th July to 29th August.

As well as offering the ever-popular all-action medieval jousting displays, they’re set to be invaded by Vikings too!

There will be historical re-enactments from across the Middle Ages, and this year, Sherwood will be the venue for the county’s Nottinghamshire Day celebrations on 27th August.

There will be arena shows, performance, music, comedy, stalls, games and activities, including archery (of course) and each weekend has a different theme.

Finish the summer in style with another fabulous festival weekend of things to keep you entertained and intrigued.

RSPB Sherwood Forest are delighted to be working with Nottinghamshire County Council, which will be hosting the Nottinghamshire Day Festival on 27th August. You can find out all about what will be happening on the day here.

Their great friends the Sherwood Outlaws will be at the forst all weekend to act out the legend of Robin Hood.

The festival also welcomes back the 15th Century re-enactment troupe the Lord Thomas Stanley Retinue, comedy duo Medieval Maniax, storyteller Robert of Wentbridge and magician Nathaniel Bagshot.
