Come and find out about the fascinating stories and discoveries as part of The Workhouse and Infirmary’s new genealogy research linked to the 1921 census and in partnership with Find My Past.
Walk up paupers’ path and come and unearth what life was like for the people who sought refuge at The Workhouse and Infirmary. Meet a costumed interpreter, chat to a room guide, take a tour (limited spaces), complete a children’s trail, play some old-fashioned games, explore the theme of identity with the Midland Textile Forum’s evocative exhibition. Uncover the stories of those who lived and worked here and how this changed over time from the 1820s to the 1980s.
Last admission 3pm.
