Immerse yourselves in the magical world of fungi at our exciting Fungi Day. This fun-filled event is perfect for nature enthusiasts, young and old alike.

Event highlights:

1. Fascinating Fungi Displays: Explore an array of captivating displays. Learn about the diverse species, their unique features, and their vital role in the ecosystem.

2. Children’s Activities: Keep the little ones entertained with engaging and educational activities designed just for them including a family trail and a craft activity..

3. Guided Fungi Walks: Traverse the lush woodland, and learn to identify different types of fungi while enjoying the beauty of Sherwood Forest. Guided walks will leave from the Visitors Centre at 10:30 and 14:00. No need to book, just turn up on the day and sign up with the Fungi group.

4. Educational Talks: Listen to informative talks by fungi experts who will delve into the importance of fungi in our ecosystem and their fascinating life cycles.

Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the stunning fungi you encounter!

Note: Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for forest exploration.

This event is suitable for well-behaved dogs. Some parts of the guided walk route may be difficult for pushchairs.
