In association with The Big Draw Festival The National Holocaust Centre and Museum are offering a unique opportunity for professional artists. The day will begin with free time to view their beautiful Memorial Garden and thought provoking Museum Exhibitions to gain inspiration for your own artwork.
The National Holocaust Centre and Museum are delighted to have Survivor Speaker Ruth Schwiening offering her emotive testimony in person and discuss how her experiences during the Holocaust have defined her own art, through a mix of mediums, including glass and oil on canvas. She will be bringing examples of her artwork with her to view, along with her book ‘The Survival of a German Jewish Family’.
Local artist Lynne Whitfield will lead a demonstration before your open air workshop commences in our Memorial Garden. Local gallerist Susi Wright will also be on hand to offer guidance and share her expertise.
