Robin Hood Festival 2022: Nature’s Home

August 19, 2022 - August 22, 2022

IT’S BACK!

The much-loved Robin Hood Festival is taking place this summer at Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve over seven weekends from 16th July to 29th August.

As well as offering the ever-popular all-action medieval jousting displays, they’re set to be invaded by Vikings too!

There will be historical re-enactments from across the Middle Ages, and this year, Sherwood will be the venue for the county’s Nottinghamshire Day celebrations on 27th August.

There will be arena shows, performance, music, comedy, stalls, games and activities, including archery (of course) and each weekend has a different theme.

Weekend six is dedicated to the work of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), which has managed the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve since 2018.

As well as finding out about the hugely important work of the UK’s largest conservation charity, there will be lots of fun, activities and games, not to mention great advice on how to care for wildlife in your own home and community.

Please remember to check the latest COVID-19 guidance before attending any event and contact the event organiser should you need any further information on the COVID-secure measures that will be put in place. Newark & Sherwood District Council is not in a position to confirm that the events advertised are Covid-19 Secure.
