Miriam Halahmy was a teacher and educator for 25 years. She now writes fiction for children and teens. Miriam will be talking about her acclaimed book ‘Saving Hanno’. This is a moving story of a young German Jewish boy, sent to England for safety via the Kindertransport, who saves the life of this dog, Hanno, as war looms.
A gripping story based on historical events. The theme of refugee children remains highly relevant today. This fast-paced novel is full of courage and excitement.
Miriam will be able to sign copies of the book while she is with us.
After the talk, Miriam will be hosting a creative writing workshop.
Both the talk and the workshop are included within your admission price.
