Six Million White Roses Art Exhibition

November 24, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Event Series Event Series (See All)
Free

An exceptional art exhibition dedicated to the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust victims of war worldwide and to those who stand up to hatred. This Charity event, organised and curated by Susi Wright of Meander and Mooch Gallery, artist Lynne Whitfield, and Jill Robinson of the National Holocaust Centre, aims to hit the observer squarely between the eyes, taking them on a roller coaster of emotion, all at once uplifting, thought provoling, emotional and humbling,

The exhibition which intends to pull no punches, includes worth by Ruth Schwiening glass artist and Holocaust survivor, Tom Voyce winner of Sky landscape Artist of the Year 2017, internationally acclaimed artist Harry Charles Tim, East Midlands Sculptors Nita Rao and Jennie McCall, ceramicists Jillian Riley and Soo Durham and many more.

Holocaust Survivor and glass artist Ruth said ‘My parents spoke very little of the Holocaust. They lost everything, parents, friends and the country they loved. I decided to show their lives, as I saw it, through my art. I use mainly glass because it is fragile and shatters easily, as did their lives’.

All artwork is for sale, and supports the National Holocaust Centre and Museum, Laxton, Nottinghamshire.

The public can immerse themselves in this event daily, except Sundays, from 10am until 3.30pm from November 5th to 26th. Admission Free. Children under 15 must be accompanied. The Buttermarket, Town Square, Newark on Trent, NG 24 1BY.
