Celebrate the budding joys of a new Spring as you venture out into Sherwood Forest.
It’s the season that brings us all out – plant, animal and human – blinking into the sunlight after the darker and colder months have passed
This guided walk will be led by a nature expert who will uncover the wonderous changes that start to happen at this time of year as many species emerge from their winter slumber.
On sunny March days the appearance of butterflies is a welcome sign that warmer times are on their way, as is the arrival of migrating bird species.
Many of Sherwood’s ancient oaks are beginning to bud too, some perhaps doing so for the thousandth time in their remarkable lives!
The walk will last approximately 90 minutes, and as this is an outdoor event please bring suitable clothing and footwear. Sorry, but no dogs on this walk.
