Come to Sherwood Forest for an unforgettable night under the stars!
This stargazing event is an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the night sky and learn about the wonders of the universe. This event is suitable for all experience
levels, whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just curious about the cosmos.
On the night of the event, participants will gather at Edwinstowe cricket club, with minimal light pollution to take in the stunning views of the night sky through telescopes, binoculars and the naked eye.
Knowledgeable guides from the Mansfield and Sutton Astronomical Society will point out interesting celestial objects and answer any questions you may have. There will also be a presentation or lecture on a particular aspect of astronomy, such as the current night sky, a recent discovery or a specific constellation.
While stargazing is the highlight of these events, even if the great British weather intervenes rest assured that you will have a great evening whatever the weather with the help of the experienced and passionate astronomers of the MSAS team.
