Southwell Theatre Club’s annual murder mystery will again be in the form of a short pantomime, which this year is to be ‘Treasure Island – the Murder Mystery Panto’ – oh yes, it is!
‘Mrs Ladd a widow, runs the Admiral Benblowers Inn, in a lonely cove by the seashore, helped by her son Jim Ladd. Enter rough old buccaneer Billy Barnacle looking for a place to hide a treasure map. Enter pirates looking for him. Enter Long John Silver, and his parrot, looking for them. Enter Cyrene, a maiden jilted by a sailor, with a pathological hatred of sailing men. Enter Broadside Betty the most fearsome pirate known to man (or woman) and you have a recipe for mayhem and a murder for the audience to solve!’ Lots of fun, singing and dancing.
The venue is Southwell Library, King Street, Southwell, NG25 0EH. Bar available. Tickets priced £10, include a light buffet and are on sale at the library or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/southwelltheatreclub
