What could be sweeter than dining with your one true love on Valentine’s Day in the setting for one of the world’s most enduring romances?
Sherwood Forest is where the honourable outlaw Robin Hood and fearless Maid Marian are reputed to have fallen in love, while outwitting the Sheriff of Nottingham and coming to the aid of the poor.
Legend has it that they married in St Mary’s Church, just a short walk from the edge of the forest.
On the evening of 14th February (7pm-9pm), you can enjoy the unique experience of a delicious three-course meal at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, prepared by the RSPB Sherwood Forest’s chef. See the full menu here.
Members of The Sherwood Outlaws Performing Arts group will be there in the guise of Robin and Marian, to tell the tales and perform ballads about their affair which have enchanted audiences since medieval times.
It promises to be a Valentine’s Day to remember.
Book your table for a Valentine’s evening at the Forest.
Please bring your alcoholic drink of choice to enjoy with your meal. A range of non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase at the Visitor Centre.
